Company Profile

Naturprodukt CZ was founded in 1991 from a simple need: to bring products to the Czech and Slovak markets that people truly use and can trust. From the very beginning, it has been built on a combination of expertise, careful selection of partners, and an emphasis on quality, and has gradually developed into a stable company capable of building brands and business relationships over the long term.

The journey began with a chance encounter full of the scents and flavors of nature, bringing to the market products that support vitality and prevention, says the company’s managing director, Ing. Romana Bartschová.
Swedish Bitters,
fragrant with herbs, with which the company entered the market, represent a higher level of the basic formula for modern use of hydrotherapy, and Swedish Bitters Forte with modern TERIAK, where the individual components in the composition mutually support each other. The pleasantly sweet taste of the Forte drops is provided by Naturprodukt mint syrup from the company’s certified Naturprodukt syrup production, where the effect is supported by clinical studies. It contains 29 herbs and the aforementioned mint syrup. The entire Swedish range is a comprehensive source of bitters, which have versatile uses as a traditional approach for activating digestion, supporting natural bodily processes, providing a warming effect for the body, and overall care. Bitters contribute to healthy regulation of body weight, support the liver, and help restore balance to the nervous system. In 2010, studies were published showing that bitters support the breathing process, and in 2015 receptors for bitters were identified in human skin, where bitters strengthen and protect the skin.

In the early 1990s, Naturprodukt began to focus on the distribution of natural food supplements and cosmetics, primarily from Germany or from trusted foreign suppliers of medicinal products, food supplements, and cosmetics. 
Over time, the company has built a strong position not only in the Czech Republic, but also in Slovakia. 

In its early years, Naturprodukt CZ focused on:

  • creating a clear product philosophy (functionality, safety, clarity for the customer),
  • setting up a reliable supply chain,
  • building trust with business partners as well as end customers.

This foundation became key to further growth: 
the company did not develop in “leaps”, but systematically – step by step, with an emphasis on consistency.

Stages of growth and development

As experience and market expectations grew, Naturprodukt Czech and Slovak Republic expanded its competencies:

  • from distribution and sales support to portfolio development and product life cycle management,
  • towards greater specialisation in how to prepare products for different markets and sales channels,
  • towards strengthening internal processes in the areas of quality, documentation and traceability,
  • towards publishing growth through its own publishing activities (Pharmacy Magazine).

The result is a family-owned company that today is able to act as a long-term partner, not only supplying a product, but helping to position it correctly, maintain it and further develop it.

In 1997, our own distribution center in Havířov was built, which includes:

  • marketing facilities
  • storage areas
  • product dispatch to pharmacies as well as to individual customers

In 2018, activities were expanded to include food production and Naturprodukt syrups began to be produced. They are prepared according to traditional recipes

  • from whole fruit and herbs
  • without chemical preservatives and additives 
  • within the framework of the international IFS Food certificate

Production holds the IFS Food certificate, an internationally recognized standard for quality and food safety audits in food companies.
